If you have a concern:
The Saskatchewan Dietitians Association will investigate all complaints filed with the Registrar regarding the conduct or actions of a Registered Dietitian. Responding to complaints is one of the ways that SDA fulfills its mandate of protecting the public. A complaint must be filed in writing or any other recorded format (i.e. audiotape or videotape). When making a complaint to SDA, the Complaint Investigation Form should be used. A panel of the Professional Conduct Committee will review every complaint filed with SDA using the process outlined in the Complaint Flow Chart.
If you have a complaint regarding a Registered Dietitian, contact the Registrar (email@example.com) and she will assist you in initiating the complaints investigation process. The findings of all complaints that go to a Discipline Hearing will be published in the SDA Newsletter.
The Network of Inter-regulatory Organizations (NIRO) has created a pamphlet to help the residents of Saskatchewan know who to contact when they have a concern to raise regarding a regulated health professional. The pamphlet includes information on how to submit a formal complaint and the contact information for all of Saskatchewan’s twenty seven regulated health professionals, including registered dietitians.
