The Saskatchewan College of Dietitians (SCD) is seeking applications from registrants of the College to fill two positions on its Board of Directors. These are 3-year terms, beginning at the AGM in June 2026 and ending at the AGM in June 2029. Board members would also be eligible for a second three year term should they be interested in continuing.
About the Role:
SCD is responsible for regulating dietitians in Saskatchewan. Its role is to protect the public by ensuring dietitians provide safe, ethical, and competent care. As a registrant Board member, you would apply your profession-specific knowledge to inform Board decision-making that promotes the best interest of public groups and communities in Saskatchewan. The Board’s role is toguide and oversee SCD’s regulatory responsibilities, strategic direction, financial stewardship, and organizational performance.

Who Should Apply:
The SCD is committed to supporting a Board that represents the diversity of dietitians and the public they serve across practice settings, geographic regions, and lived experience. We recognize that applicants bring a range of experiences and are not required to have prior Board experience, but may draw on your professional, volunteer, and lived experience.
We invite all who are interested to apply, but we particularly encourage applications from dietitians who are Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit) and/or have lived or worked in Northern or rural communities in order to build on the strengths of our current board.
Time Commitment:
The Board typically meets:
Six times per year, with four additional board committee meetings annually.
At least two Board meetings are held in person (one in Regina and one in Saskatoon), with remaining meetings held virtually.
Meetings range from one hour to a full day.
Additional time is required for preparation, training and committee work.
